In ancient Greece, a city called Sparta played a significant military role during the 7th to 4th centuries BC. Since the Spartan Armor Helmet obscured much of the face including the nose, cheeks and forehead, it is perfect for a costume that will leave the other guests guessing your identity. Spartan society gave very high importance to its military might and all Spartan boys attended military school from age seven. When they have completed their schooling, they served in the Spartan military until the age of 30. Once assigned to a local brigade, they had to wear the Spartan uniform including the armor helmet. In essence, the Spartan Armor Helmet was designed for everyday wear and offered little protection for the face although it offered protection to the top and back of the head.
