This type of armor helmet is reminiscent of the Corinthian armor helmet which is very popular among costume collectors of today. It is still the armor helmet design of choice for costume party goers of today as it did for the Greeks in the wars during the Archaic and early Classical periods. This style gradually evolved to the Thracian helmet and Chalcidian helmet which was less expensive to produce and did not obstruct the wearer_s critical senses such as eyes and vision. While the Greeks were romantically associated with it, the Romans also revered it. Thus, the Corinthian armor helmet remained in use well into the 1st century AD. The Chalcidian armor helmet on the other hand was especially popular among the Greek Brass in the Fourth and Fifth centuries BC and was first worn by ancient warriors of the Hellenic worlds. By the time of Alexander the Great, the helmet was still worn by armored soldiers, especially, the spear-armed heavy infantrymen. Important Features:
