In the 13th century, Snorri Sturluson wrote of the activities of Valkyries and a few goddesses being told to King Gylfi by a character called High. In Valhalla there are women whose duty are to serve drinks to its residents. High said that these women were called Valkyries and they are sent by Odin to every battle, wearing armor helmets with wings on each side, to choose which men are to die and to decide the outcome of the battle. During one of the battles, Odin_s son Baldr dies and Odin and his wife Frigg arrived at the funeral with the Valkyries and Odin_s ravens. These events can be found in the book known as Prose Edda, a writing on Norse mythology. There seems to be some nobility in the character of a Valkyrie and I wouldn_t mind chatting with any costume party animal in this costume and winged armor helmet. The mysterious identity of anyone in this costume will be enough to kill me. Important Features:
